m.musashi
Guys, just to let you know and for future reference to anyone trying to install a Linksys WMP300N, EU version based on the Atheros 5416 chipset (recognised as AirPort Extreme, 0x168c, 0x61). This PCI card works out of the box in Leopard 10.5.6 (retail vanilla install) as long as you delete any DSDT.aml file you may have in your installation (maybe generated at the time when we all thought it was needed). Of course reboot after deleting. Symptoms in case you DO have a dsdt.aml: the card will be recognised, but under network preferences it will NOT be possible to turn it on. NOTE: I can't test N functionality, but G "speed" appears to work fine I'm writing this as I couldn't find clear directions on this issue and I wasted an hour working things out. peace MM Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155173-linksys-wmp300n-eu-atheros-5416-pci-wifi-card/ Share on other sites

In 32 bit mode in SL I have exact behavior as in Leopard (means works perfectly). And I have to use DSDT.aml in snow leopard (32 bit and 64 bit mode), otherwise won't boot up. BTW: concerning N mode, my speed is always 130 Mbps. When I copy something from network hard disk (Iomega) I get download speed up tot 7 MB/s, so wireless N in network card does his job.
