Is it possible to install the mac os on the 2nd partition and dual boot? Is it possible to install the mac os on the 2nd partition and dual boot? Hi DMTheBlue: Yes, you can install Mac OS X (Leopard or Tiger) on the 2nd Partition. This assumes that the computer comes with 2nd Disk Partition (most do not, but some do). During installation, you can go to Utilities - Disk Utility and see if you can format the 2nd Partition (usually Mac OS Extended Journaled). I'm currently dual-booting my Home Desktop and Work Laptop both with Tiger and XP. 1000he looks like nice machine to install OSx86. I'm planning on getting a NetBook later this year.
