Fostex123
Hello, I have just tried to install iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6 on my PC. The installation worked very well, but now it doesn't boot. I used the -v command to see whats causing trouble. It seems like there is no error, at least the last lines is something about head- and cylindernumbers, but it doesn't say that there is anything wrong with my HDD (I assume that what these numbers are about). Then it just doesn't do anything, just stops there. I will try to boot it again and tell you the exact lines in a minute. I think that I did something wrong when customizing the Installation. Here are my hardware details, what should I choose in case of reinstallation? CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Motherboard: ECS Elitegroup G31T-M Chipset: G31 & ICH7 Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 8400GS HDD: Maxtor 250GB Ethernet/Audio: Onboard Edit: Ok, i got that a bit wrong, but anyway: During boot, it detects the CPU fine. Then it loads some "security extensions". After that there is a line with the University of California in it..... and the last lines that appear are: "MAC Framework succesfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers" and then nothing happens.... Please tell me if you need more Information. Fostex Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155065-installation-worked-but-doesnt-boot/ Share on other sites
MacNutty
Try booting with -x option. Still fails, then try re-installing iDeneb with proper options. Fostex123
Booting with -x doesn't work either. I'd like to try installing it again, but I don't know what the "proper" options for my hardware are, thats why I asked. So thats what i did. But it still won't work. What else do I have to do?
