Duckman
I burned a copy of iAtkos v5 and tried to install with much difficulty. I have two HDDs one that currently has Vista Ultimate 64 bit on it and the other is blank and formatted. The main HDD is SATA and the other is IDE. It seems to either freeze at the first screen with the Apple, or it gets to the Click button to continue... and when I click it, it just hangs. Now I used the command -v in the prompt, and it seems to have stopped at certain points. It will stop at the Kernel Version, but I saw a couple things on the way (e.g., Jettisoning Kernel Linker, IOATAController device blocking, etc.) Is it a bad copy of iAtkos or does my machine not meet the requirements? Has anyone ever seen these freezeups? Thanks in advance. Here are my specs: Intel Core Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4Ghz LGA 775 MSI P6N SLI Platinum LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Mobo 6GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 PCI-E 320 GB SATA HDD 80 GB IDE HDD Hopefully that is enough info, life story upon request Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/154906-cannot-install-iatkos-v5/ Share on other sites
