motherboard to base an OSX86 system on

Hello, i'm new to osx86, and so far i'm loving it...i've installed it on a couple of my systems with limited success. For my next project i want to build a OSX based media center for plex and boxee. I'll probably use it as a desktop pc aswell. What i need is a good list of chipsets or motherboards that use intel core 2 duo or core 2 quad chips that have full compatibility with audio. I'd prefer something with coax or optical out so i can do ac3 passthrough to a 5.1 system if this is possible. I've been searching a lot but i can't seem to find any absolute answers. I will be ordering from newegg.com so it has to be something they stock. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

i was wondering if i see a motherboard that is very similar with the same chipset as one listed and almost the same model number if it'll work....example

ASUS P5QL-PRO is listed as working and newegg sells a ASUS P5QL-CM

they have almost identical specs, including the same northbridge/southbridge

would this be a safe bet?
