ccrandall77
I recently purchased a Lenovo S10 and wanted to install OS X. I tried to get the MSIWindowsx86.iso, but all the torrents I'm finding are taking an insane amount of time to download. So, I went with the iATKOS_5i iso. After plugging away for about 6hrs, I finally found a combination of drivers that let me complete the install. I then loaded the wifi and display drivers and that all went well. However, after following the instructions for getting audio to work, I'm still w/o sound. I'm also having a couple of other issues. So, I'm hoping someone here can help me. Ya, I could probably get all the info I need with a little more research, but I have a fairly stable system and there seems to be a lot of different ideas on what kexts to install and so forth. So, if someone can help a noob out with some issues, it would be greatly appreciated. The first issue is audio. The speakers, headphone jack, and mic are all not functioning. I followed the instructions I've seen on several sites: * Remove AppleHDA.kext * Install AzaliaAudio * Reboot * Install Apple Developer Tools (I just downloaded the full iPhone SDK) * Launch Audieee and add to start up menu Despite following those steps, still no sound. Is it due to the kernel I'm using? I chose the "9.5.0 Kernel voodoo" during setup. The other choices were "9.5.0 Kernel fassl" and "9.2.0 Kernel ToH". The instructions say to use the stock kernel, but I'm not sure which one of these three is the right one. Other issues I've encountered are: * Sleep/suspend not functioning. - Saw some instructions on installing a couple of kexts, but also saw comments saying that action caused kernel panics * No battery indicator. * Fn-left/right arrow doesn't control contrast. * Fn-alt = Cmd... anyway to assign Cmd to the Windows key? Below are the settings I selected when customizing the iATKOS_5i install: Bootloader > PC EFI V9 X86 Patches > Decrypters > Apple Decrypt X86 Patches > SMBIOS drivers > SMBIOS Enablers > SMBIOS-EFI Air, SMBIOS Enabler X86 Patches > Kernel > 9.5.0 Kernel voodoo X86 Patches > ACPI > x86 ACPI X86 Patches > Disabler.kext Drivers > VGA > Intel > EFI String for Intel, GMA950 > GMA950b Drivers > System > Laptop Battery TIA!
