elogy
Hi there, I'm new to the forums, so I'm sorry if I posted in the inappropriate forum. I tried installing iDeneb v1.4 (10.5.6) on my old Dell Latitude C640 notebook (Intel Pentium 4 1,8GHz, only 256MB RAM, 30GB HDD, ATI Mobility Radeon 7500). The installation runs fine, but after the cleaning up process, the screen freezes, I can only move the cursor but can't access the menu, the DVD drive keeps on reading until I turn the machine off, no hard drive activity. That has happened several times now, I just can't get the installation to finish. Here's what's in the installation log: installdb[852]: started (uid 96) installdb[852]: Opened receipt database on '/Volumes/Leopard' with schema 17. installdb[852]: It took 362.38 seconds to get 183856 files in group 'com.apple.repair-permissions.pkg-group' I'm not sure if it's because I only got 256MB RAM or if I picked the wrong patches. Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/154808-install-freezes-after-cleaning-up/ Share on other sites

Any suggestions? I'm having the exact same problem here on an Inspiron 8600. It seems to happen regardless of what customize options I choose...have you found anything?!?
