I saw somewhere on here mentioning that you could install Leopard from vanilla. But I thought you couldn't install from a legit Leopard Retail DVD? Isn't that whole point of the distros? elogy Posted February 24, 2009 Share Posted February 24, 2009 In Fact, the retail DVDs of Leopard are for apple hardware only, so you won't have any luck installing on a "normal" PC if you don't want to waste hours on patching. Vanilla is the default kernel used in OS X and you can use it on osx86 installations, too.
