ezwidor
Specs- Dell Dimension 4500 (thought it was a 4600 when i posted yesterday...WRONG haha) 9800 pro 128 mb 80gig hard drive Windows XP So, I started the install 10.5.6,(org meant to do 10.5.5 but looked at the wrong one) anywho, after I booted from the Cd, I had many failed attempts that froze, but eventually every 4-5 times i get to the install screen. I open disk utility to try to partion the drive to mac extended (journaled) But <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/ezwidor/DSC_0062.jpg"> but to no avail, every drive, even fat32. I cannot format any of the drives and get the error. input / output error. I thought of reformating from my install xp disc, but unfortunatly i cant find it. Is there any other way for me to go about getting a this volume ready to be installed? and is there any reason why only sometimes it loads from the cd boat? Id appreciate any help:), also..any reason i should install 10.5.5 instead?
