tilllt
Hi, is there any Netbook that runs OSX86, that runs FinalCut? I was almost tempted to buy the Dell Inspirion Mini 9 but then i saw it neither has Xpresscard nor Firewire... Does anyone succesfully have a setup like this running with any kind of Netbook (<=400$) and can capture from DV, dont care how the external disc is connected, eSata / USB / Firewire ... as long as it is working... ciao Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/154783-netbook-that-succesfully-runs-finalcut/ Share on other sites

I used FCP 4.1 and the HD upgrade, deleted the qmaster folder it created, and it worked. I have not messed around with capturing yet, but I am sure that you could capture via USB. The netbook itself costs less than $300. The only catch is that you will not have internet access without a USB dongle or a wireless card upgrade. Good luck!
