steercub
Ok Its late and i try and put all the infomation in here. (I AM SOOO TIRED) About a month ago i tried installing the latest version of iAktos on a little shuttle PC, so i could get the hang of Mac, and see if i want to get one etc etc... Anyhow i had heaps of dramas found out in the end it was the AGP video card. Took it out and plugged into the onboard intel. Works fine. Here is the specs for the PC i am running now. http://ixbtlabs.com/articles2/abit-digidice/ (Look down the page.) Anyhow after much loading and reloading of the system i kept coming up with boot issues, i finally loaded up the safe kernel,(cant remember the name) and removed all drives to do with ethernet cards...as i have had these issues before. BANG, it works...oh hang on, i have my on board Ethernet Card a Realtek RTL8101 deactivated, so i reboot and activate in the bios and it stops loading just before it comes to desktop. Can be a coincidence, and i try it with it turned off, and it works. I then reactivated the card and ran the OSX86 in -v mode and found this error. Anyhow i see that its trying to load the RTL8139 Driver, instead of the RTL8101L kext i have put into the system/library/extentsions, the driver i have is RealtekR1000.kext, and now, i followed a lot on line about removing and installing kexts and it seems to have put it in. However, to me its like the kernel isnt reconising that its there, i have even touched the cache to reset it, but nothing. Its late and i am stuffed any suggestions, i am about to head out and get a new network card, if you could suggest one maybe that will fix it.
