kai035
hey guys, so i just found out about OSx86 couple days ago. i have been reading some posts here and on some other web sites. I found that i want to use the boot 132 method with a retail 10.5.4 dvd to install the os. however, i encountered a problem: I downloaded (Download .ISO with modified kexts: http://www.mediafire.com/?1ne1zbl4znv ) and burned it to a cd. after i restart my computer with the boot cd, it goes into a prompt, and i switch the boot cd to a retail 10.5.4 dvd, hit enter. It would load the cd, but there is an error message pop up couple times: EBIOS read error Block 16432736 sectors 64 After couple minutes, i would finally get to go into the apple gray screen. it would stay at the gray screen and does nothing for a minite or two, and then my computer would automatically restart. it doesn't even go to the select language part. i tried it with -v. nothing really work at this moment. i read about things that i might have to modified kexts file but i don't understand the concept at all. so it would be very nice if anybody could get me some advice to start it. Or simply suggest any other way to install mac os on my computer. here are some specs of my computer: Sony Vaio VGN FS 760 Intel Pentium M Processor 750 (1.86 GHz) (support SSE2) 2GB DDR2 Ram Geforce GO 6400 Toshiba MK1031GAS 100gb hard drive (i don't know if it's a SATA) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/154531-problem-with-boot-132-could-not-go-to-the-install-screen/ Share on other sites
