i used the XXX 10.5.6 distro and installed from an external USB DVD. enabled the EDB in the bios. choose these options: AppleAzaliaAudio, ACPIBattery, ACPIBatteryManager, DarwinGMA950_0x27ae, ClamShell, Broadcom Wireless (i replaced built-in wireless with dell dw 1490)

issues

* can't figure out how to use external vga only (prefer this when working at home), closing the shell puts everything to sleep

* alt and cmd keys are swapped (minor issue, they're in the correct position according to apple layout)

same distro works on desktop too. i'm impressed. this netmac has more than enough power to do Textmate + Rails development
