Bekenn
I'm experiencing some rather bizarre performance issues with my setup. If I allow the system to boot normally, then performance is terrible across the board -- switching between applications takes forever, nothing behaves responsively, buttons don't respond to mouse clicks for several seconds, that sort of thing. If I boot with -v -f, though, everything's fine. I used System Profiler to compare the list of extensions that are loaded in either case; the lists are identical. There are some other issues, but I don't know if any of these might be related: - About This Mac crashes. - System Profiler displays an error when I click Memory under Hardware (probably the same issue). - I don't have any seatbelt.kext installed (removed it after I saw the first DMG crash), but DMGs work fine anyway. I initially set up the system to use the Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel, but replaced it with Andy's 9.6.0 kernel in a vain attempt to get break points working in Xcode. I have not run the Apple Software Update utility. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me figure out what's going on here. Here's the list of extensions from System Profiler: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/154522-weird-performance-issues-ipc-1056-on-amd-sse3-using-anv-960-kernel/ Share on other sites
