I am very new to this, this is my first atempt. I have an hp with a amd 64x2, 1000 gig HDD, 4 gig MEM 800. I have the Ideneb 10.5.5 installed

I am not dual booting, I do not have windows on the pc any more. I got it to boot, and install. I can run all the way up to the Screen "do you already own a mac" I click the do not want to import option, hit continue, and it freezes for a sec then brings me back to the beginning when it asks about my key board. Iv tried reinstalling it, and I get the same thing over and over. Any ideas to help me out? The boot and install went very smoothly. :D

Boot into single user mode. (-s bootflag at boot prompt)

fsck the disk, then mount using the commands you will see on screen

sudo -s

touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

reboot

You need to make sure you've put in a password for root (should do this when you do sudo -s)

Then when you've rebooted, you need to put root in as the user, and the password you set with sudo -s. Then when you've booted into OS X, create a new user.
