muffinito
Hi, I got a fresh installation of 10.5.6 booting with cpus=1 -x on an atom 330 mini itx board. Used iPC and the only selections was to use the "universal kernel" (last option on kernel menu) and azalia driver on audio. Well, audio doesn't work. Also I am unable to boot without the cpus=1 -x option. Any help will be really apreciated. ralphultra
Well I have a D945GCNL, according to others here and Intel it's the ATX version of your board with the ability to install a CPU, it takes Dual core, Core 2 DUO ect... Well I also wanted to get 10.5.6 up and a read about "iATKOS 5i" it's at 10.5.5. Others here have written that if you are able to install without using any of the custom parts during install or the need to load any special drivers then you should have the ability to run updates directly from Apple. Yesterday I removed my current OS drive, installed a fresh WD160 SATA and ran the install. Everything worked correctly including Video and Ethernet. I then ran Updates from Apple I think it was four passes. After I am at 10.5.6 and many other updates loaded from apple. Update service states that I am up to date. I have spent most of the day reloading my applications and getting things the way I want them with no errors or problems. I also loaded the new iLife09 today and it also worked. I have seen the "iATKOS 5i" on several of the more popular torents. Hope this helps. muffinito
Ok as advised by I tried the Azalia install on iPC but didn't worked. After reboot still the same. Then I tried a fresh iATKOS as per ralphultra advice (thanks again). This made the install unable to boot. I restarted with -v and saw the kext that was give me trouble: AppleIntel CPU something first and the video driver. Deleted both and now it boots fine and audio out works. Also was able to update to 10.5.6 however needed to delete the video drivers again... The only issue is that video driver is not installed and anything that needs quartz extreme such as iMove doest work. Any one have working the correct video drivers on the D945GCLF2? $ lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ/P/PL Memory Controller Hub (rev 02) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) PCI Express Port 1 (rev 01) 00:1c.2 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) PCI Express Port 3 (rev 01) 00:1c.3 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) PCI Express Port 4 (rev 01) 00:1d.0 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB UHCI Controller #1 (rev 01) 00:1d.1 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB UHCI Controller #2 (rev 01) 00:1d.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB UHCI Controller #3 (rev 01) 00:1d.3 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB UHCI Controller #4 (rev 01) 00:1d.7 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB2 EHCI Controller (rev 01) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge (rev e1) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82801GB/GR (ICH7 Family) LPC Interface Bridge (rev 01) 00:1f.2 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801GB/GR/GH (ICH7 Family) SATA IDE Controller (rev 01) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 01) 01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
