ith
I recently built a machine for the sole purpose of running OSX on it, but have run into an issue. I boot off of the Boot132 CD, get OSX Installed, and it works great (except for the known audio issue), and I can even reboot it over and over and as long as I use the Boot132 CD OSX always runs great. Once I tried to follow different processes for getting it to boot without a CD is when I started running into issues. No matter which process I follow, when it starts to boot (without the CD) it just sits there at the grey Apple screen with the spinning grey ball. There is not HDD accessing or anything. It just stops. If I then boot off of the CD it will either boot fine again. I have spent a lot of time reading other solutions, but can get none to work. Here are the hardware specs: Gigabye GA-G31M-ES2L motherboard Intell E2200 2.4 GHZ Core Duo CPU 2 GIGs DDR2-800 PC6400 RAM nVidia 8600GT 512 I did find one post here that involved having a second install of OSX and then running a .pkg install, but I really dont want to split up this disk and I don't want to go buy another one. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Cheers! ith Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/154304-osx-leopard-on-ga-g31m-es2l-issues/ Share on other sites
