bigriz44 Posted April 18, 2006 Share Posted April 18, 2006 Trying to get things up and running with MacOSX_10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz, but despite my best efforts I cannot get the install to find the hard drive. Ive followed several guides on this site as well as diskpart, part magic, and acronis. I've managed to make it a Primary AF partition at the end of the drive with disk part but setup still wont see it. Also, in system profiler both my dvd drives show up but neither of the 2 hard drives in my system come up anywhere. Lemme know what partitular info you need to know to help me out and thanks in advance. Mac Boy Posted April 23, 2006 Share Posted April 23, 2006 I had the same problem with my sata hard drive. You might be able to change some settings in your bios that will allow the installer to see the drive. Check out your bios and look for SATA, AHCI, ATA, etc. settings and try each one. I changed mine from RAID AHCI to one of the others and OSX & Linux recognized it, but XP wouldn't. In the end, I had no choice but to install OSX to an external usb drive.
