Ok so I ran into some problems after I've intalled the Kaliway 10.5.2! Installation went fine but after that (I mean after getting that "Installation Successful" message) MAC OS X doesn't boot up :o . I don't know what the problem is so please help... It keeps rebooting every time until I chose another boot device... IT sux! I've tried that guys idea to type is that "cpus=1" code but it didn't solve my problem :( I also tried thos keycommands "-x -y -v" but didn't help...

It might be a 10 second answer but I just couldn't find it on this website! I've tried the search and everything but I can't find it so I had to make a new topic :D . Sorry!

My Specs:

Try to write: vanilla

or: tohkernel cpus=1

I'm not sure about the tohkernel but you can always try, also you can try: vanilla cpus=1

Otherwise I don't know

Have you tried installing it with just the kernel, no drivers and no patches (except the smbios). Also you aren't really giving much information on what you installed. You might be out of luck though. Also what kernel have you been using?

Okay installed the whole {censored} again and now it works. Everything's on default setting! I think I have the Sleep kernel or what... :) I don't know! OSX looks good tho. After a clean install with the default Kalyway settings MAC OS X works just fine...

Can somebody please explain it to me how to install kernels on MAC? I've just found out that's what MAC calls drivers! :P My 8600GT is fine but I would like to increase the Resolution to 1280*1024*32. Current settings are 1024*768 and its killing my eyes! :( Can you guys also help me out where can I find the latest kernels for the 8600GT! I checked the NVinject or whatever its called but I cant figure it out which version should I download or will it work :D ! I can't setup the my wireless connection too :D I have a Linksys WRT54G Router and I need somekind of a drivers for my blody external USB reciver! I don't know I might just by a new router next week which is compatible with MAC... Airport Extreme maybe... :)

Please help me guys!

PS: I know I'm kinda asking some totally noobie question here but I'm really new to this thing. Please if you can give me a guide if you can about this whole thing. Oooh and I read the whole FAQ on this website :D

Check out my Pre-Series 7 nForce + Intel CPU thread......and my blog entries for OS X install guides....... :)

Well well I read through you topics and they did help me. Now I have a better understanding on how things work in OSX. Thanks man!

I managed to figure out how to install the graphicscard kernel on the 8600GT. It works fine in 1280X1024 resolution! :D

USB fix done also. It works fine recorgnises my Pen Drives so so far so good...

HOWEVER. I checkout both posts from you and Mysticus C* but I can't figure it out how to update this to 10.5.5! I really need that version because thats the version that works with Pro Tools 8. Audio is not a problem because I'm in the studio and have MAC supported external soundcard.

I can't figure out the internet too... :D I have a Linksys WUSB54GS but it doesn't have any MAC drivers for it. I think I'm going to buy that NETGEAR wireless USB Adapter on this weekend because it is MAC supported...

Also Can I use an original APPLE keyboard/mouse with my hackintosh? That would be really cool!
