cyberock Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 I installed IPC 10.5.6 on my shuttle SD30G2 Plus with an intel e6600 in it. As soon as I replaced the cpu with an e8400, it would not boot up, getting stuck on the gray boot up screen. I tried reinstalling IPC and it would not find the SATA hard drive during the install, not even in disk utility. I thought maybe the drive died even though it is new so tried a different drive. Same issue. I tied iDeneb 1.4 and had the same issue. I put the e6600 back in and everything worked fine again. This shuttle box should support the e8400. What am I doing wrong?
