Adam Hauerwas
I have a dual-booting iMac running OSX Leopard and XPSP3. I've installed rEFIt to control boot-up to either OS. These machines will be in a public lab at a college, and I'd like to be able to remotely administer them using ARD on the overnight. I'd also like to be able to remotely reboot them into Windows periodically in order to perform Windows Updates. I imagine that I can set a specific power-on time, and I know that I can configure /efi/refit/refit.conf to allow "legacyfirst" (to boot into Windows as the default choice). I imagine that I would use ARD (when the machine is in OSX) to modify the conf file. My problem is that once in Windows I want to be able to boot back to OSX without user intervention. Once in Windows, is it possible to reboot the machine back to OSX? Thanks. Reply direct or point me to a better forum, if appropriate.
