I am fairly new to the OSx86 scene and I was wondering; first, if there is any way I can use my current NIC. If not, I was wondering which would be the best/easiest Ethernet/Network card to use on OSx86.

PC Specifications:

ASUS P5KPL-CM Motherboard (Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 Ethernet , VIA HD VT1708B Audio)

Intel Q9300

Nvidia 9500 GT

Kalyway 10.5.2

If you need more information, let me know.

NOTE: I do not have wireless at all

Thanks for your help,

Wicked

PS (To Mods): if this isn't the right section, feel free to move it, sorry.

EDIT: I'm currently considering an Intel Pro/100+ card, if it's compatable, since it's only $15 on eBay.

My Price range is anything less than $20 or so.

Thanks for replying, and thanks for the useful links

However, I have P5KPL-CM, not -VM.

From the Wiki:

P5KPL-CM

LAN - Atheros not working - using PCI 8139D (no drivers)

Is that Wiki 100% accurate about that LAN? Saying it doesn't work and all.

Thanks for trying/helping,

Wicked

The good deal on that card has ended :(... it was $5 with free shipping, now it's $15 + shipping.

Still, thanks for the link.

EDIT:

Is there any way to know if this would work? I don't see a model # or chipset anywhere in the description..

Also, I'm considering this aswell:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:X:AAQ:US:1123

Is that the same thing as the NetGear Gigabit FA311?

Which card do you recommend?
