Hi!

I managed to install OSx86 using iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 - however if I try to startup, i get a kernel panic.

my computer specs:

MOBO: GIGABYTE EX58-UD3R

Northbridge: Intel X58 Express Chipset

Southbridge: Intel ICH10R

CPU: Core i7 920 (4x266 GHz)

RAM: 6GB DDR3 mushkin (3 x 2 GB EM3-10666)

GFX: Geforce 9800 GT 512MB

During the iDeneb setup i click on 'Configuration' and select the following options:

Patches 10.5.5 Ready

--->Audio--->ALC888

--->Chipset--->ICHx Fixed

--->Kernel--->(tried all four available options (9.4.0 StageXNU; 9.2.0 Sleep; 9.2.0 Speedstep; 9.2.2 SSE3)

--->Fix--->Cpus=1-Fix (tried with and without)

--->Video--->Nvidia--->NVinject--->NVinject 0.2.1 512MB

i attached the kernel panic to this post (when starting with startup options -x -v)

Can you please give me advise how to go on from here? Thank you very much!

please - can anyone help? don't know what I could do now... do I have to use certain boot-options to use the kernels i install? because the kernel panic keeps saying 'darvin kernel' although i chose different ones during ideneb installation...

-I did not get iDeneb v1.3 to work (kernel pani as startup, with each available kernel)

-I did not get iDeneb v1.4 to work (still waiting for boot device at startup, after successful installation)

-Kalyway 10.5.2 DOES work with the default configuration! the problem is, i need at least 10.5.5 for Iphone SDK - so i tried to make an update - but for this i need my onboard LAN to work (it's a Realtek 8111D chip) - so I installed this: http://store.psystar.com/opensource/r1000?...2a26f12fe984e5b kext, which is said to support RLT8111 - but after i insalled it (using the kext helper), i got kernel panic at startup :)

really don't know what i could do next - already trying to get this to work for a week now!! please help! thank you!

When you get that Kernel Panic you are referring to, I have found that it can be solved by:

1. Start up iDeneb installation DVD

2. Load Terminal

3. In terminal "cd /Volumes/(YOURVOLUMENAME)/System/Library/Extensions"

4. "rm -r AppleIntelCPU (press TAB after that to autocomplete) "

5. "reboot"
