scythepl
Sorry for another topic with simmilar problem, but I tried many solutions from other posts and couldn't get that running. I use iATKOS 5i DVD for MAC OS installation. I have 2 hard drives - one on SATA and one on ATA as well as ATA DVD drive. When booting from iatkos DVD, I can see both hard drives in Drive Utility without a problem (so it would seem that there are proper drivers) but unfortunatelly after the installation (I used part of the guide from osx86project.org for getting wifi and other stuff working) system does not appear to see the ATA devices. MAC OS is being installed on SATA drive. So my question - does anybody know which kext files should I use or what can I try to get that working? Right now I think that I need to reinstall the OS again because of all the stuff I tried earlier to get ATA to work. Thanks. thorazine74
Does that board have a secondary JMicron SATA/PATA controller? IIRC iAtkos 5 installed a non-working JMicron kext when I tried it, try using one of the alt. JMicronATA.kext posted here or here Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/153692-asus-p5k-e-wifi-problem-with-ata-no-ata-devices-installed-only-after-installation/#findComment-1085276 Share on other sites
