Dan Druff
Hi, I've installed iDeneb 10.5.5 on a Inspiron 1525 with success, all was working very well, even X3100 was OK. After that I upgraded my iDeneb 10.5.5 to 10.5.6 by using Pacifist. Now everything is running fine but I must use the sleep trick on my laptop to get X3100 to work. Is this a known behaviour of the 10.5.6 upgrade (related to graph kexts) or there's something more? I wish to mention that beside X3100 that needs the sleep trick, the Ethernet (no know kext) and the SD card reader that I didn't bother to install, everything works like a charm (Sleep, deep sleep, video acceleration, HDD, laptop trackpad and keyboard, power button, sound buttons). There is still some testing to do but it is a very functionnal HackBook. (Sleep will even make the led pulsate on the laptop, like a real mac!) Here are my installed kext on this laptop: Installed iDeneb 10.5.5 with following options checked: Chipset -> ICHx Fixed Network -> Wireless -> Broadcom Fix -> FireWire Remove Fix -> AppleSMBIOS MacBook Applications The kexts these options provide are included in the list below. Put the 10.5.6 combo update on that install with Pacifist without installing AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext Misc Removed AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext Removed FireWire kexts (Fix -> FireWire Remove) AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext - v. 2.0.0 (Chipset -> ICHx Fixed) AppleSMBIOS.kext - v. 1.0.13 (Fix -> AppleSMBIOS MacBook ApplePS2Controller.kext - v. 1.1.0 Network IO80211Family.kext - v. 2.0 (Network -> Wireless -> Broadcom) Power Management PowerManagement.bundle - v. 136.0.0 AppleACPIPlatform.kext - v. 1.0.3 IOUSBFamily.kext - v. 3.1.5 VoodooUSBEHCI.kext - v. 2009 VoodooPower.kext - v. 2008 Graph AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext - v. 1.5.36.25 AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext - v. 1.5.18.7 (old version to enable x3100 usability) AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin - v. 1.5.36.25 AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle - v. 1.5.36.25 AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle - v. 1.5.36.25 Natit.kext - v. ? [EDIT] I use DSDT patching to get X3100 to work, worked perfectly under 10.5.5, now partially broken under 10.5.6 (need sleep trick) Audio with AppleHDAPatcher_v1.16, codec in attachments As I said, now I'm with a broken X3100, which I had not, if someone can check this out, I would be very pleased.
