shjeeper
AHCI is only for sata if I'm not mistaken... As for whether anyone else got it to work.. I don't know many people that have tried on servers before, so it'll be hard to find someone that has. So the next question would be - what's wrong? Why doesn't it work? And in case you haven't already tried doing so, type -cpus=1 -v at boot. I know it has troubles with my dual core AMD, I can only imagine what it'll have with a dual socket mother. In fact, I would suggest simply taking out one cpu and (I know little about the bios and needs with a server) disable it in the bios. While you're in there, if there's something you're not using, disable it for now as well. Then, when an error goes wrong, try posting it
crazyJAT
For anyone still interested, hnak made a driver to support many unsupported PATA/SATA devices. It works in both Snow Leopard and Leopard. I have confirmed myself that this driver works with the Sil3114, but only on port 0 and 1.
