Is it possible to have vista already installed and dual boot Leopord without reinstalling Leopord? I'm going to be buying a laptop and when I get it I'm going to dualboot. I've done a lot of reseach but no one seems to have the right answer. The laptop is a Sony Vaio FW series with vista already installed. Will. Be able to just pop in the Mac install DVD and set up a partition then install or will I need to install Leopord and then Vista again?

Also, is there a GUI bootloader? It would bee cooler to be able to use a GUI instead of the standard white text haha, if there is such a thing could someone give me the name? (links are nice but I can research it :D)

Thanks

Hahah sorry.

The laptop I'm going to be buying will have Vista preloaded on it. I'm asking, will I be able to partition the drive in half then install Leopard on the other half? Like, partition the 320GB HDD in two, one being Vista and the other have Leopard installed on it WITHOUT needing to reinstall Vista?

If you dont understand what I mean just let me know.

Use any partition manager software you're familiar with and resize the current partition. Then do the following steps:

1) Create a raw partition in Vista

2) Boot with Leopard CD and go to Disk Utility and erase the raw partition

3) Install Leopard and reboot

If you don't hit any key during the boot manager, Leopard will be the default OS. If you push a key, you will have the option to boot into Vista.

Enjoy.

Hi guys... here is my prob:

i've got 2 HD with 2 partitions on each one. On my first HD I've got WinXP and another data partition. On my second HD I've got WinVista and Leopard 10.5.2 (kalyway) just installed.

Before installing Leo at the pc startup i had (and i still have) the choice to run either WinXP or WinVista as I set dualboot with those OS.

My prob is after having installed Leo if I select my second HD and I try to run Leo the system says: "HFS+ partition error".

Someone suggested to use EasyBCD on Vista to add Leo on the dualboot menu and repair HFS.

I did it.. and now when I start my pc I have 3 choice: XP - Vista - Leopard... but when I choose Leo I have an error saying: c:\NST\nst_mac.efi

I picked up the "boot.efi" file in /USR/standalone/i386 and copied to C:\NST as nst_mac.efi as asked but it doesn't work as well...

So far I cannot run Leo at all even though it seems to be installed... can you help me guys??

Thanks a lot
