1337acct
I need to know this, at minimum: was someone else using my computer? This all happened (multiple times when i was away from my computer) according to my console: 2/14/09 6:15:15 p.m. kernel kern Debug NTFS volume name Nuevo vol, version 3.1. THEN: 2/14/09 6:17:32 p.m. quicklookd[4737] com.apple.console Notice [QL ERROR] 'Creating thumbnail' timed out for '<QLThumbnailRequest /Volumes/Nuevo vol/Hub/....' There are a few lines like that, each time with a different .mpg. The thing is, I have no Volume called "Nuevo vol" that I know of. Also--when I got back to my computer, QuickTime was open and I was not the one who opened it. Could I have a virus of some sort? What is going on? I tried plugging in an external HD and the "volume name" line looked completely different (it didnt even mention the kernel) so I am not sure what kind of thing would produce a line like that. (the only thing I could find doing some other searches was that sometimes BootCamp volumes will look like that...). Thanks for any help! lord_webi
just use google: there is nobody on or in your system (This is the quick fix (terminal): "launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.quicklook.plist" There's an avi that makes it crash, and it just keeps opening, scanning, crashing, re-opening.) 1337acct
I know this will probably sound ridiculuous, but is there any way to tell which avi this is? And why does it look in "/Volumes/Nuevo vol/Hub" I really need to understand in detail what is going on here... Thanks!
