FireWire hard drive visible in System Profiler but doesn't show in Disk Utility

Hi,

 

My fireWire hard drive (LaCie d2 Quadra) is visible in System Profiler (see attached picture) but doesn't show in Disk Utility.

Please note that in System Profiler, we can see the hard drive BUT there's no LUN (Volumes).

 

 

When I connect this hard drive either with USB or eSATA it works as normal (I can see the 2 partitions/volumes)

 

 

Configuration is:

- Asus P5E (IEEE 1394 controller is VIA VT6308P),

- Leopard 10.5.5

- Install method: Retail DVD guide, 10.5.5
