Ok guys heres the deal, Im not that experienced with Mac OS, So forgive my lack of knowlegde.

Now I first did an install of OS X86 10.4.3 using VMWARE...everything worked great..of course the speed was

slow as {censored}. But still everything worked. I used my friend's dvd burner to make a copy of the patched ISO so i can install it on its own separate drive. I had no problems installing it what so ever!

Everything worked great...fast boot up, sound, NIC..everything...except my display. Everything is in black and white. and the resolution is just wrong. Ive seen this problem around the forums alot. Some people have seem to have gotten this problem fixed. Ive read some of the tips on how to fix this but its just not working for me.

I really want to get this fixed, so is there anybody out there that can help me with this problem, I also have a copy of OS X86 10.4.4, would that make it make a difference if I installed that instead?

Here are my computer specs

Dell Deminsion (cant remember what model number)

Intel ® Celeron ® CPU 2.40Ghz SSE2

Broadcom 440x 10/100 Intergrated Controller

Intel ® 537EP V9x DF PCI Modem

SoundMAX Intergrated Digital Audio

Creative AudioPCI (ES137, ES1373) (WDM)

Intel® 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller

Hopefully this is enough info for whoever can help me out..

Thanks in advance!

I installed 10.4.3 on a few Dell Optiplexes and got the same thing...ends up it has to do with the amount of shared memory set up in the BIOS. I think it defaults to 1mb or 2mb or something, so it's not enough to render the display at 1024x768x32. You have to go into the BIOS when the system boots and find the place where you can set the shared memory and increase it. Can't remember what mine was before and what I increased it to, but just move it to whatever the max is (8mb probably) and it should work fine. You won't even need to reinstall.

Hope this helps
