Hi There

I am a bit of a newbie to the Hackint0sh world but I was wondering if you guys could help me out.

I have downloaded Kalyway 10.5.2 and have burnt it to DVD. I have also partitioned my hard drive (30 GB fat32). When I boot Kalyway up it asks me to type in -v then hit enter. After this it boots OSx86 up however there is an error which reads:

"extension "com.apple.driver.applepciconfigurator" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi ccomponents"

Which im guessing is pretty bad. It then boots up the installer, however when I go into disk utility my hard drive is not displayed there.

My question is, how do I get the hard drive to be listed (bearing in mind im pretty clueless about kext files). And if this is impossible what version would you recommend.

Is it possible to install OSx86 on an external hard drive, if so what would be the consequences.

My specs are below, I have seen other people running this particular version with the HPDV6000.

(I have a 200gb ATA HD).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

This sounds similar to my problem, although a bit more extreme- My hard drive and all partitions are listed, but refuse to mount.

I noticed our hardware is quite different, the only similarity that stands out to me is the AMD Turion 64 processor. Do you, or anyone else, know of a common problem with that particular processor? And would that affect how the install disc sees and deals with the hard drive?

I don't know of anybody that has encountered the same problem. From what I have seen on the net it inst detailed enough to perform anything.

And would that affect how the install disc sees and deals with the hard drive?

What do you mean?

I have the same problem, I'm able to partition the hard drive, set aside 20GB, for mac.I am even able to use partedmagic to partition it to hfs+ format for easy Mac installation but when i start the installation, under utilities, i cannot find my partitioned HDD.what i see is the DVD rom.Any help will be very much appreciated.Thanks...Below are my specks..i tried iAtkos4a and Jas's AMD 0Sx but still no HDD detected..

Thank you very much

What is your system MOBO chipset etc.....?

I suppose you mean this? AMD M690, AMD Hammer

Version BIOS: 68YTT Ver. F.07

HP Compaq 6715s (GR768ES#ABE)

Version Motherboard: 30C2

Thank you very much!!!!

Your MOBO chipset is AMD M690T Chipset, i.e. SB600 Southbridge chipset contrraolling storage device e.g. your SATA HDD......so you need to install SB600/700 chipset driver........suggest LawlessPPC for AMD, iPC 10.5.6, iATKOS v4.0a for AMD which are for AMD CPU systems...

OS X Disk Utility does not recognize unallocated space on a hard drive, and so the space cannot be used to create a new partition..... so, you need to pepare a primary FAT32 or NTFS partition......as with Disk Utility you can only either reformat a pre-existing partitioned volume or re-partition the entire hard drive space.....

I'm consulting the hardware for everest:

Standard Bios support: DMI, ACPI, PnP

I'm a test the partition unparted.

The hardware itself is not compatible?

Instructions support for CPU: x86, x86-64, MMX, 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3 .
