Ayrek Posted February 13, 2009 Share Posted February 13, 2009 Greetings everyone. I'm extremely new here, and I'm looking for some help, I'm afraid. I've an Inspiron 1526 by Dell, with an AMD Turion 64 dual core processor. I did some searches, and found I think one thread that even mentioned the 1526.. Anyway, I'm trying to install with Kalyway 10.5.2, and the problem I'm having is that, after the installer DVD loads, it can't mount any of my partitions. I can open the Disk Setup thing, and see them, but I can't run first aid on them or anything, like it suggests to do for partitions that won't mount. I realize this is probably a serious noob question, but what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance, to everyone that reads this. EDIT: I'm sorry, I got my discs mixed up. Kalyway hangs as the disc is loading, it says 'disk is read only' and stops. The one that won't mount partitions is a version of 10.5.6, I'll have to do some searching to find more info than that...
