stingray072
SATA Drive 1: OS X SATA Drive 2: Windows XP Bios boot menu can only select to boot from SATA, and just starts from whichever drive is in slot 1-can't choose the drive Darwin Bootloader can't see XP because I installed it after. Tried chain0 method and once I physically switch the hard drive order I can get into XP bootloader, see Mac 0S as an option, but if I select it I get "chain booting error". Wiki on chain booting error was no help. I just want to be able to choose the boot device without cracking open my case every time! How is the chain0 supposed to see the second HDD? Please help??? stingray072
I didn't see a response there-all I saw was a quote... but I appreciate the effort! Really no one? cty34
I didn't see a response there-all I saw was a quote... but I appreciate the effort! Really no one? Sorry if somehow my replies did not get through. What I said earlier was that your have to check whether you had copied the chain0 file into the root directory of c drive and whether you have inserted C:\chain0=xxxxxxx after the last line in boot.ini file of Win XP correctly. [xxxxxx is the volumn label of the partition or drive containing the MacOSX. The label must not be put inside " " and shall not have any space between the alphabets]. To make it easier for others to help you, you should show others what exactly you have done.
