Hi

I found out about the Envy24 driver designed for M-audio Delta cards. But not all settings are available for some.

I have the audiophile 2496 PCI

There is a driver for this on the m-audio website, but when it came to installing it, the installer said something about it being un-installable on intel based systems.

It must think I am using intel based, or maybe I chose an intel based installer

either way it will not install

if my card is PCI and maudio has a 10.5 driver for my card, is it correct to install the PCI fix/patch in the installer and then install the card using the official 10.5 driver?

please can anyone let me know if i am on the right track as this would be better than using third party drivers that have less features

thanks

Hi,

I have the same card.

the M-Audio drivers are only for PowerPC.

You can use this driver - http://www.audio-evolution.com/ccount/click.php?id=23 ,

it works for me on 10.5.6

Thank you for your help

but what do you mean they only work for power pc - when you say PowerPC, do you mean a top of the line system?

if so, then mine is for sure! :)

anyhow what i had done in the meantime before your reply was setup my pc with that envy driver and it worked amazingly, even inside top audio sequencers like cubase studio

i have very good latency timings using this driver, where i used to get bad latency delays when recording music on the original drivers from maudio

might be a "mac over pc" thing though - maybe not the driver thats doing it

anyways, if i got that working, what difference would there be if i use the driver you showed me?

thanks

No Intel Mac ever had PCI slots, only PCIe. So M-Audio only built the drivers for this card for PowerPC chips (601, 603, 604, G3, G4, G5) and not for any OSX 86. You can't use the M-Audio drivers for their PCI cards on a Hackintosh.

I just gave away one of these cards for that very same reason.
