sito Posted April 17, 2006 Share Posted April 17, 2006 hi, I've tried everything i found to make AC97 work on my Asus a8n sli premium and nothing worked,but finally i managed to make it work!!! If you have this mobo and sound doesnt work, just enter the bios and go to PCIPnP Configuration, there is an option to let the OS configure the PnP devices (it was the first opsion in my bios - 1009 ), ENABLE IT. Now, sound should work. Hope this helps someone. PD: If anybody has the same motherboard with built-in ethernet working, PLEASE tell me how to do it!! kezeka Posted April 18, 2006 Share Posted April 18, 2006 what version of OSX are you using? 10.4.5's sound works flawlessly on my premium, didnt have to touch a thing on 10.4.1 i had to go in and just add some files to get it working, just look it up on the wiki for hardware compatibility - there is a link there.
