EnchantedPlague
I upgraded my leopard IDE hard drive from 60GB to 160 GB. I performed the same install, same disk (iATKOS 5i), same everything, except on my new 160GB IDE hard drive. However, this time it wont boot, after I install it. (-v shows "still waiting for root device"). What now? Specs: Mombo: eVGA 680i SLI CPU: Intel Q6600 RAM: 4GB OCz 800MHz Graphics Card: PNY GeForce 8800GTS 512 Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 160GB PATA (ST3160815A) Kernel: Voodoo 9.5.0 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/152266-hard-drive-upgrade-now-wont-boot/ Share on other sites
lord_webi
why did you make a new installation ? Just connect both devices and use CCC for a copy/clone and install Chameleon on your new HD, thats it ! EnchantedPlague
I didn't want to do that cause my old hard drive has tones of bad sectors, and i dont want any errors or currupts files to copy over! justvisiting
you may need to boot a linux cd or something to make your boot partition "active".
