NeinDS
Been perusing the forums for a few days, pulled the trigger on most of the hardware for my new system, would love to get feedback/suggestions before I assemble it. Plan to: Run 10.5.6, vanilla as possible Dual-boot XP Run the two Velociraptor HDs below in RAID 1 (or maybe 0) as the OS drive using on-board Intel controller Very much need dual display capability via DVI for two 24" 1080p panels Overclock with air cooling Proposed Hardware: Case: Rosewill R5605-BK Power Supply: OCZ StealhXStream OXZ600SWS CPU: i7 920 retail Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 Memory: SuperTalent PC10600 1333MHz 2x3GB (6GB) OS HDs: 2 Western Digital 150GB Velociraptors in RAID 1 using onboard Intel controller Video card: Open to suggestions, need dual monitor display via DVI Can I overclock with air cooling to 3.7Ghz+ and have a stable 10.5.6? Any recommendations for good video card known to support dual monitor setup via DVI (some variant of 9800gtx+, other)? Likely to have any problems if I run RAID 1 using the onboard Intel controller? Any thoughts much appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/152109-ever-popular-please-check-my-hardware-specs-thread/ Share on other sites

Use this forum for overclocking advise Matt, thanks for the info! Do you use the Gigabyte's onboard Intel SATA controller to build a RAID array that works on OSX?
