Dell Precision T5400 - Waiting for root device (10.5.6 only)

Perhaps I'm missing something because I've been running OSx86 since the initial project years ago. I'm able to get up to 10.5.5 working on my Dell Precision T5400 but getting to 10.5.6 has never worked.

I can get Vanilla 10.5.x working through the Boot-132 method with very little changes. I can get to 10.5.5 through many of the builds out there (Kalyway, XXX, iDeneb, Leo4All). I've even tried the latest 10.5.6 installs from iDeneb, iPC, and XXX and all result in the same thing: successful install but frozen Apple gray screen on boot or Waiting for Root device (when in verbose boot).

This would seem to indicate that the chipset driver isn't loading. I've tried the two Intel ICH chipsets included in the above releases but no go. You would think that this machine would be able to run 10.5.6 with no problem since 10.5.5 seemed to work so well.

I would expect that there is something completely obvious that I'm missing but searches and multiple build attempts have always failed. Any ideas? Thanks!
