kramlin
Hi all, I used the PCWiz guide to install Kalyway 10.5.1 (vanilla kernel) with mbr EFI, then upgrade to 10.5.3 with the combo update (no kernel selected as per guide) then do a delta update to 10.5.4. I then used PCWiz's Universal Installer to do the following: -install chameleon bootloader -install kexts for the P35-DS3L motherboard -add EFI string for the nvidia 8800GT 512MB -time machine fix Rebooting now takes a long time. It seems to pause (each reboot with verbose mode it will pause at a different item) for two minutes or so then I get the blue screen and login screen. Sound also didn't work. I also tried using PCWiz's P35-DS3 Control Center that came with the guide, to install the sound, and rebooted, but sound still didn't work. I uninstalled it and downloaded another package from www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?show...0&p=1016090& which had AppleHDA.kext and HDAEnabler.kext, and installed these. Sound now appears to be working however I get the following error line when I boot in verbose mode:Sound assertion "0 != widget->setUnsolicited ( true )" failed in "/SourceCache/AppleHDA/AppleHDA=157.1.24/AppleHDA/AppleHDACodecGeneric.cpp"... Any ideas on how to solve the boot delay and why PCWiz's Universal Installer or Control Center doesn't activate the audio?
