night_mare007 Posted February 6, 2009 Share Posted February 6, 2009 (edited) Hey, I really need the PROS for help, in this one: I Got FULLY WORKING SYSTEM load with GFX EFI STRING Method.( CI/QE fully working ) BUT...I've done that using a flashed ROM Geforce ( while using NVFLASH Utill ). The problem is that now, I really want a system working with Original Geforce ROM. So I've booted back to MS-DOS and reapplied the original ROM without any problem. After that I've load the system, Darwin reported back 256MB ( while i have 512mb card ) and got stock at BLACK screen with working mouse.... BUMMER ! :angry2: The annoying part of a flashed Geforce Rom is that your computer recognize LESS physical RAM then the usual: Before i flashed my Geforce i got 3200MB @bios, and after i've flashed the Geforce i got only 2688MB ! . couple more pieces of info: 1. I had the following Kext Edited so they all support the right NVCAP, NVRAM size & Model ID - NVDANV40Hal.kext - NVDAResman.kext - GeForce.kext 2. I DO NOT use ANY Injector currently... (NVinject etc ) 3. any other info about my system you got @signature. so PROS... PLEASE HELP ME ! How can i get my system fully working using the GFX EFI STRING method, BUT WITHOUT flashing my Geforce to a patched ROM. ( staying with the original ) What should i do next ? Thanks in advance ! night_mare007 Posted February 12, 2009 Author Share Posted February 12, 2009 well m8 - DUA...DUO...core 2 of course... let me explain that again: First - i've implanted the EFI String according to This Perfect Guide. I did restart and it was nice - i could load OS X without NVinject, and QE/CI enable both. so the GFX EFI Sting method works at that point. after that, I've revert my Geforce ROM to the ORIGINAL stat. Then Restarted, and saw 256MB at darwin, but still i went and loaded the OSX... and then BOOM - Black screen With white cursor. one more thing - i'm sure 100% that my EFI String includes 512mbinfo at the nvram line. and as i mention above - the EFI method work with a GFX HACK/PATCHED/MODIFIED ROM. SO... Have you ppl got any suggestions ?
