engintepe
OK, I've been running 10.5.5 vanilla install on a ga-p35-ds4 very smoothly for sometime. there are no problems to speak of. but, now that iLife'09 is out, I really want to try out the new Garage Band. Alas, it requires 10.5.6. So, I really don't want to unplug my HDD and plug it to my MBP as an external drive to do the update and then swap out the kext's. too much work and i'm lazy. I figure I could put the hackintosh into firewire target disk mode and mount it to my MBP over FW to do the update. Anybody tried this before? Does it work? Or, is there an easier way to do an update? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151096-hackintosh-in-target-drive-mode/ Share on other sites
gooh
Target mode is part of the machine itself not the OS. Sorry Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151096-hackintosh-in-target-drive-mode/#findComment-1070129 Share on other sites
