I have the same equipment

The good news is you can run it in osx

The bad news is you need a upgrade to be able to do that

You see that the PCI 324 is a PCI card , and even though your hackintosh has a PCI card slot , real intel Macs have no PCI slot they rather have the PCI express (PCI-e) therefore all the new OSX drivers from motu they don't work with legacy PCI card bus. How ever the windows Drivers works with both PCI legacy and The PCI express buses

for more info check

http://www.motu.com/techsupport/technotes/...4-compatibility

You can get a Upgrade for your old PCI 324 card for a new PCIe 424 card which is a PCI-e card doing the same thing but on a PCI-e bus on a intel mac from motu

Check

https://www.motu.com/store_products/upgrades/pcie-424

yikesss!! 300 us $ is a bit pricy you might get a brand new interface for that kind of money

or if you would buy a new motu PCI device the PCI 424 is included , it has 4 FW ports at the back so you can also plug your 2408 MK2 as well...

The upgrade sounds a bit expensive so you can also check ebay or use it under Windows ( just kiddin')

Wich chipset uses your motherboard?, post your harware details.

Motu Pci system doesn´t work under VIA or SIS chipsets.

Have you try changing pci slot for the card?

Hi,

thanks for your answer, it's a Gigabyte GA-EP45 DS3.

I didn't try to change the slot, but that's the next thing i'll try this evening.

thanks for your reply!

Sounds convenient...

Well, I think i have to bite the bullet and buy a new PCIx Card. Are you sure that this one will work?

You shouldn't confuse PCI-e and PCI-x they are two different things.

PCI-E is PCI-Express and PCI-X is PCI eXtended.

what you need is a PCI-Express as in PCI-E or PCIe .

just follow the motu upgrade link I have posted above it explains there what you need for which platform

it works for me I use vanilla OSX with no problems with PCIe 424

you can only Use motu PCI interfaces only with the PCIe 424 card on an Intel mac...
