Please help guys, as this is driving me up the wall...

iDeneb 1.3 (10.5.5) installs like a dream, and this is my spec

Mobo : Asrock AliveNF4G-DVI, nForce 410MCP

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ AM2 - Northbridge: GeForce 6100, Southbridge: nForce 410 MCP

RAM: TwinMOS DDR2 PC4200 2Gb

HD: WDC2500BB-22GUA0

I'm using the onboard video (Integrated NV44). When installing, the options I'm using are

- AMD Patch

- AppleNForceATA (older version)

- 9.4 kernel

- Forcedeth for nForce ethernet

- nVidia NVKush (as the others resulted in a video fail when viewed with -v)

And all the apps.

Like I said, it installed perfectly. On regular boot, I get the "restart your computer" indefinitely screen, and with the -v option I get

AppleNForceATA: found 1 units

AppleNForceATA: warning: phy connection failed. status=0x00000000

AppleNForceATA: found 0 units

Same if I use -x for safe mode.

I suspect it's the hard disk (the WD2500) but dunno about editing .kexts(?) - any help or pointers? I've read about a dozen boards at this stage, all to no avail.

Please help - any and all advice appreciated.
