cyberbobcity
Hey Guys, i thought I was getting pretty far after hours of ready and trying to understand. I used the BOOT-KABYL-BUMPY.iso (which seems to be the only one I can get to work on my machine) to boot up and install the 10.5 Retail Leopard DVD. I can get into the OS with limited functionality, low resolution, no network connection. I downloaded the 10.5.5 combo update thinking it would be safer than the 10.5.6 but after it installs and restarts the computer freezes with the grey apple logo and hoses my install. What am I missing. I've looked at various tutorials but can't figure this out. I have an Intel D965WH mobo,200GB Sata Drive, and a NVidia 6600GT video card. My sound works but is a external Tascam FireOne. I've reinstalled doing various different things many times. A few times I installed the Chameleon DFE for Hard Disk and i can never get it to boot into the os without the CD. any help would be appreciated. I also want to note that I've had Kalyway 10.5.2 updated to 10.5.5 running for a year or so. I have the kext to get my network card install, NVInstaller, plus a modified NVInject.kext which gets both my displays to work, one VGI, one DVI.
