MisaMilosevic
Hello to everyone, this is my first post. I wish to share the experience of resolving some commonly reported problems by simply achieving a clean and undisturbed installation go through. My fisrt installation of iDeneb 10.5.5 didn't go smooth but I finally made the system work, except for: - intermittent USB freeze - intermittent dead keyboard upon start up - unstable internet connection - fans continuing to work after shutdown Then after a month I decided to go for official 10.5.6 update without consulting forums first and got mess with Time Machine, graphic card, iTunes, screensavers, Ethernet etc. At this point, I had to erase the HD and do a clean install. This time, the iDeneb installation went smooth, meaning: no freezing blue screen, no forced restarts after first start up. And all above mentioned symptoms simply disappeared. So, my advice is to try installing and re-installing until entire installation process goes smooth. For re-installing, you will want to use Disk Utility and chose Zero Out Data in Security options to ensure that all wrong data are wiped out. As soon as you experience a freeze, a system halt, endlessly spinning Wait circle or need to force restart - something went wrong during the installation which will most likely cause system malfunction and you will want to do it all over again. Good luck. Core 2 Duo 2GHz P5K ATI EAH2600 HD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150567-likely-to-solve-most-of-reported-problems/ Share on other sites
