hi there i am starting on this project today on my other pc and i am not a noobie now as been doing and flowing for just over 2 years now.

 

so the hardware

 

Intel Pentuim 4 (northwood) 2.60ghz HT

Asrock P4VM900 SATA-2

60GB Maxtor Hard Drive

DVD CD-RW

 

Setup of the pc is DVD And HDD are the Secondrey IDE Channel USB Enable in bios and legacy usb. Got HT and Thermal thorttaing enabled int the bios aswell.

 

the install disc i am goin to try are

 

JaS 10.4.8

UpHuck 10.4.9 V1.4 r3

10.6.6 (not sure who made this gose by the of Mac OSx86 Install Disc on torrents)

 

So far i am installing the uphuck distro and seems to be going well let you all know how it gose.

 

Thanks to everone that has made fixes apps and install discs for intel and amd, i would also like to a big thanks to everyone else that has shared there info.

So here is what i got after the frist install.

 

I got a kernal panic on the intel power management kext, so i have done a reinstall with the HT and Thermal Thorroliting turned off, selected to remove the above kext file, it hangs on the logon install when it is start the process for when booting in verbose mode. so going to a reinstall again for select the 10.4.4 login window and see what happends. same in safemode boot aswell.

 

The kext and patch up to now what i am selecting

 

Vsersion 1.4 main system

Remove apple intel power managment kext

Titan (graphics)

Via Rhine kext (might remove this and install later)

PC USB Kext

10.4.4 Login Window

Remove Thermal Kext

Remove Apple SMBIOS.kext

SATA Support

PS2 Drivers (for KeyBOard Ect) although mine are usb

 

so not got to bad over all for the moment will just have to see what happends.

Patch’s to install

 

1. V1.4 Main System

 

2. Remove Thermal Kext

 

3. Apple Smbios Kext (Netkas)

 

4. USB Kext

 

5. Via Rhine

 

6. Remove CPU Power Management Kext

 

 

Do not install any of the VGA driver because It will cause the system to hang when it boots the login window. In verbose mode.

When installing on the Pentium 4 processor that HT disable HT and thermal throttling features of the processor. After install then enable HT and that should work.

I didn’t use the onboard graphics but they are unsupported anyway, Lan is working test on my Local network to my windows pc. Sound is not worked still looking for a patch.

 

If anyone Knows how to an 8600GTS from XFX to work with 10.4.9 please feel free to post a coment. If you need any more info feel to pst and will get back to you.
