Hey everyone, im getting a high pitched ringing noise coming from my laptop when in osx, im using an iATKOS install on an Asus EeePC S101.

i think i've narrowed the problem down to the graphics card which is a intel gma 950 as posted in the image below.

i've tried to narrow it down by disabling things and running without the drivers etc, this doesnt happen in ubuntu, and only happens when i am using the intel gma 950 kext's. Has anyone had a similar experience or knows how to fix this? during the iATKOS install i selected the Intel graphics kext's then i installed the ones from paulsmsiwinddriverpack also.

afaik high pitched rings from a piece of hardware are due to incorrect voltages right? if someone who knows more about this kext than me can shed any light it would be greatly appreciated... I think the problem may lay with me selecting the iATKOS one first then this one, so also if anyone could reply with an untouched AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext or whatever was modified in the iATKOS install it would bee greatly appreciated.

thanks.

just so anyone else who is having this problem wants a fix, i fixed it :)

the problem lay in the AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer file thing. only problem now, is with all my effort trying to get this fixed i seem to have broken sleep capabilities.

the link below is a working .pkg to install gma950 on the eeepc s101
