Hi there guys!

I Looked at forum and wiki and still in the same place.

I have a Pentium M 1.4Ghz (banias)

40 GB

256 MB RAM

So..I have this file osx86_10.4.5_amd-intel_sse2-3.iso

I boot from DVD to a NAtive install and see the apple gray logo...but freeze.

Then I use the -v option (to see debug)

The boot starts ... change to another screen that show me the processor resources (SSE2,etc.) and freeze again.

Someone told me to use OSX86 10.4.5 prepatched iso

But im not shure!.

Can someone Help me ?

To my knowledge, Centrino isn't supported ('cause it doesn't have SSE).

Pentium M falls under that category (i think... can someone confirm this??)

A PentiumM or Centrino has SSE2 and is supported. But it seems that PAE is broken on some old PentiumM or Centrino and not all are working.

What means that Pentium M will not work ?! I have seen some guys that have sucessHere and other that have not.

If is really this hope my athlon 64 3200 + support :D.

But Im frustaded to not use at my laptop with pentium m banias 1.4.

Txs ina advanced

I think what Jaeger is saying, is that earlier version Pentium M's might have problems.

I, too, have had success with OSX with Pentium M (1.73 ghz) and Celeron M (1.6 GHZ) but they were the newest revisions.

I also have been able to install on an older pentium M (T40-1.6Ghz) and a newer (T42-1.7Ghz) natively. Where the PAE thing is biting me right now is when I try to do a VMWare install. No matter how I try, I still get this error:

**VMware Server internal monitor error (bug 9297)**

The guest operating system you are running is using the physical address extension (PAE) processor option. For more information about running pae-enabled guest operating systems, please consult http://www.vmware.com/info?id=28

Even if I do a native install on a removable disk, then mount that in VMWare, I still get the error! Any thoughts?
