Hi Everyone. I've decided to install OS X on my gaming rig to "get away" from Vista. But since im a complete Noob when it comes to these things I'll need some help/guidance, which i hope I'll get here.

I have a retail purchased Leopard dvd that came along with my Macbook. So i'm wondering if i can use it while following the BOOT-132 guide ( http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=113288 ), or will i need a completely new Leopard Dvd?

My Hardware is:

Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS (not sure what manufacturer)

Asus P5K SE

Intel E6750

So my questions are:

1) What filesystem do i have to have on the OSX HDD?

2) Do i have to install something before i install OSX?

3) What files do i need to burn on the CD if i follow the Boot-132 guide?

4) What do i have to install after i've installed OSX (except for the drivers), if there is anything that is

Which is it? a retail purchased DVD or the one that came with your macbook? the one that comes with a macbook is a restore disc and can not be used.

Otherwise, the forum is here for you to look up the information you need to answer the above questions to your own satisfaction. Please take the time to do so, and good luck.

Do Not worry there isnt anything like **Restore DVD** The One which u got with ur Mac Does the same wht the Retail DVD does which people buy from Apply. They both Install OS X on ur Machine.

I Have a MacBook and i used the same DVD's tht i got with it.

Just google for BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.ISO and burn it on a CD. And make sure u keep ur Leopard DVD handy tht u got with ur MacBook.

Now insert BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.ISO CD tht u ve burned and Boot ur computer with BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.ISO CD one it boots... it stops at scrren where it says "boot:_" now here jus SWAP BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.ISO CD with ur Leopard DVD and type -V and hit Enter.

It worked for me i own a Macbook n used the same DVD tht i got with it. And once again Check Apple website or google there isnt anything Specially made so called ** Restore DVD ** there's only one that's installation Disc.

Edit: do you think you can PM me where I can find BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.ISO, i cant seem to find the correct {censored}.
