Need advice before installing on AsRock ConRoe945G-DVI

HI everyone,

 

I have been lurking around here about 3 years and been trying to run my own hackintosh since for almost 4,5 years. It starded get promising with first JaS releasefor me, but in that time I couldn't boot up because of my graphics card (ATI X850XT and after that X1600pro). Unfortunately, due to a lot of difference in computer hardware and their respected manufacturers who make upgrades on the same sh#t every time, there are lots and lots of topics on which I had to go through in here. Maybe it is lame but after attempting to install iAtkos and Kallway on the last time, I got disappointed very much and could not find my way out. After that I tried Leo4All v3 and it kindda booted. I could even install wacom tablet drivers, although I couldn't get my Nvidia geForce 8800GTS 320MB on accel. Since there are lots and lots releases and I actually don't know which one or why or where or how, if ya know whadda mean . I wanted to give a try for once again .

 

My Hardware configuration is a little cheapass but it will work hopefully:

 

ConRoe945G-DVI MoBo

Intel C2D E6600 2,4Ghz

Nvidia geforce 8800 GTS XXX

4GB Ram

3x 500 WD Caviar SE

1x 36,4 GB WD Raptor 10K rpm

Creative Audigy 2ZS Platinum

1x 24" Samsung SyncMaster 245B Matte

 

My questions are:

 

1 - Which release should I pick to use?

2 - Is there anyone out there with a similiar setup?

3- Should I still have hope on getting "a" version of OSX up and running on my PC

4 - Since I know what possible can go wrong (frying a gfx card or RAM or HDD, crashing a DVD drive), what can possibly go well?

5 - Would I need to patch every app or will they run natively using hardware accelarations, e.g. Shake with graphics acceleration, Final Cut Pro, Adobe stuff?

6- (and as the last question) Any tutorials related to my hw configuration?

 

I appreciate any advice before I jump into the hell once I've gone through recking dozens of DVD-Rs. Als please forgive me in advance just in case you might find any of my experiencese, ideas or frustration kindda stupid, unjust or pointless.
